Experience:

EXTREME RENDER SPEED 3 seconds on a 8 core 64 bit PC EASE OF USE place your models and hit render VARIATION instantly choose between 5 different studio sets LIGHTS already done for you SHADOWS baked into the textures of the set

Requirements:

Daz Studio 3.1.2.32. Victoria 4 is not included.

Installation:

Download and extract ZIP file. Copy the content folder to your DazStudio3 folder. Optionally, copy the contents within the data folder to your data folder if it resides in a different location. (Typically under My Documents).

Loading:

Run DAZ Studio 3.1. In your scene tab, find the Quick Model Set icon in your DAZStudio3 / Dreamlight / QuickModelSet folder.

Usage:

To change the set, simply expand the QuickModelSet folder in your scene tab. Expand the sets folder. Select the set you want to use (eye icon) and deselect all the others (eye icon). Do not use two sets at the same time.

To use reflections, make sure you're using Raytracing depth above 2 in the render settings. Select the surface(s) that you want to be reflective and increase the reflection in the surfaces tab.

To change the texture color, select the surface and simply adjust the diffuse and / or ambient color in the surfaces tab.

To change the lighting color / intensity, simply expand the QuickModelSet folder in your scene tab, expand the lights folder and / or ambient folder, select the lights you want to adjust and change the color / intensity in the parameters tab.

Optimization:

Render settings: X/Y samples at 3. Raytracing depth: 0. Shading Rate: 0.6-1.0. Turn off shadow casting for hair props to increase render speed (parameters tab).

Postwork:

Load your image into Photoshop or The Gimp. Increase contrast if needed. Duplicate the layer. Increase the copy layers contrast heavily and bring down the brightness. Lower saturation to almost black & white. Add gaussian blur 3-5 pixels. Adjust layer blending mode to screen. Adjust opacity of layer to suit your taste.

Limitations:

Because the light set uses 25 lights, the Open GL live preview (while you work on your scene) will not preview more than 7 lights, and therefore not show a correct representation of the lighting / baked shadows.

To make full use of the baked shadows, the studio props will not cast any shadows. However, your models, such as V4 or M4 will cast shadows onto the studio prop.
